Jefferson County Archives is part of the Records Management & Archives program that falls under the Business Innovation & Technology Division of Jefferson County.
Established in 1991 by the Board of County Commissioners, the Archives serves the citizens of Jefferson County by providing access to historical records created by county government and preserving them for future generations. We also collect and preserve other types of historical collections such as postcards, photographs and personal papers, dating from 1859 to the 2010s.
